The very atmosphere seemed to harden and bow just to support the deliberate, languid arch of her spine. She wore no armor, draped only in the stark, breathtaking sovereignty of her own skin, turning vulnerability into something as lethal and impenetrable as drawn steel. The wild, dark storm of her hair was the only evidence of the violence happening in the valleys below; she herself remained a terrifying, immovable center of gravity, untouched by the chaos.”
